Worked a treat in our office room for my desk space
So ordered this as a reviewer for re-doing the area around my desk that i use for work also as i needed good over head light.
The profile is super easy to use and with the additional tiling plate to the side was super easy to screw down and then apply the foam self adhesive tiles right up to the profile plate.
The end result for me was 2 pieces of this profile with white COB LED strip so super brightens up the area directly below my desk space ( and can i point out does not flood / blind anyone looking from behind me) and a second set of profiles to the rear with Neopixels in them shining on to the wall behind the desk.
I will say that the diffuser plastic is rather thin and delicate so would be very easy to snap if too much force is used so just get one end on and rub your thumb to press the rest on working across the profile.
This being aluminum extrusion it is always going to be on the expensive side but is definitely a premium finish, being metal also means better heat dissipation which can be important.
Do i think this is good value, yes prices are going to be very competitive but this does seem like a thick metal set compared to other similar ones i have used in a different profile type. if it is a premium finish you are after then this is the one making it a 5 star product.
These worked perfectly tiled up to them and you can tell they are there so the lights look fantastic, I would use some sort of adhesive to fix them and only screw them in whilst the adhesive sets, then remover the screws for a better fit
I have used some of these metal light diffusers as part of a recent renovation in the corridor and they proved to be very easy to install. I installed these alongside plastered walls and also wood panels, and in both cases they blended very well with the rest of the wall and corridor. They are very easy to install and allow DIYers or professionals to create a flawless and enviable finish!
Nice clean finish from one end to the other.
Metal is smooth.
Plenty of room to work with basically any LED kit and allows the light to pass through easily.
Such a worthwhile installation for any future projects.
